Happy Halloween boys and ghouls!

We have almost completed our epic East Coast move and we are spending our final day in Princeton, NJ. Meg is staying the week as she is working at a client site here, but I am finishing the drive solo tomorrow morning. Hopefully, it will be easy going with my trusty audiobook of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy to keep me company.

We saw some great things on our drive North, most centering around food (what can I say… we’re fat kids!), but those pics will be shared later in the week.  For now, check out what everyone else has been up to out on the travel circuit:

  • Savannah was our first overnight stop on our pilgrammage from Miami to Boston and it truly is a magical city. I can almost understand why so many people believe all of its ghost stories… almost!
  • With one road trip almost behind us, we can start to look ahead to the road trip in front of us. We just might have to add Bend, Oregon to our list of places to visit on our Pacific Northwest road trip in November.
  • Most responses from people when we tell them what we are doing is a mix of either jealousy, disbelief, or skepticism. Our planned, year-long RTW trip might seem far fetched, but it just takes an immense amount of focus and planning. I am a true believer that anyone could do what we are planning if they truly wanted it.  The first step is to believe the unbelievable. Next step? Save like a mofo!
  • The best way to prepare for long-term travel is to follow those that have gone before… I can never get enough of the great insights that other travelers share. Check out what Benny the Polyglot has to say about his long-term travels.
  • “A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone.” Gotta love any article that quotes from Game of Thrones… if you want to write about your travels than you might as well learn how to write. A great list of 7 easy ways to improve your reading so that your travel writing gets better too.
  • As an undercover fat kid, how can I ignore an article called: The Thailand Foodgasm?
