Now that we are in full planning mode for our ‘Round the World adventure we have been reading every travel article we can. Here a few that we found interesting or helpful from the past week:
- In case all of you out there are wondering what kind of advice we are looking for… Backpackingmatt nails it. His top 5 places to visit on your around the trip. Although I fear the cities listed might be 5 of the most expensive cities in the world, still cool to get opinions. Early opinion though has us leaning towards places like Costa Rica and Thailand.
- Good computer programs for the long-term traveler to use. As our departure date nears we definitely need more info like this.
- I loved the book Into The Wild and thought the movie was fantastic…. but Meg was another story. As someone who excels at planning, the lack of one by McCandless really irked her… which is why this post over at The Road Forks amused me.
- Adventurous Kate writes about the joys of meeting fellow travelers on the road and making true friends.. One of the many goals we have for our travels.
- We. LOVE. Food. The fact that things like this exist out there make me ridiculously excited.
- Despite deciding to leave our jobs and travel, Meg and I are not exceptional risk takers. Which is why we definitely need help figuring out traveler’s insurance.
- Five reasons we might need traveler’s insurance… and an article I hope our mothers never see.
- Never would have thought of needing it, but losing the pictures we take while traveling would be devastating.
