Best of the Rest (Weekly Links Ending 4/10/11)

Sorry for the lack of posts this past week.  Meg and I took a fantastic trip to Universal and Disney to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and did not have much internet access… a taste of travelling abroad perhaps?

But due to the amazing time we had in Orlando there is a detailed post coming of how to dominate Universal and Disney World for couples with no kids.  Orlando does not have to be an endless wait in lines… but it will be unless you read our tips!

And now, for the weekly tour of our favorite travel blog articles from around the web…

  • Jillian is back from her two year travel adventure and has to unpack all of the boxes she left behind… so strange to read about the aftermath of worldly travel before we have even started!
  • I feel better every day about making Chile our first destination… just check out these geoglyphs in Cerro Pintados!  Or maybe the salt flats in Huarango are more to your liking?
  • If Adventurous Kate is right, does that mean all of you travel bloggers have been lying to us?  Is there really only one last cheap island in Thailand left?  Put it on our travel list!  PS… We’re glad you’re safe Adventurous Kate!
  • What credit card and checking account should you use when travelling around the world?  Akila and Patrick have all of the answers and we have made careful notes.
  • Happy wedding anniversary J and A!  As Meg would say: “We love, love!”
  • If you want to travel the world but are afraid of the consequences… read this article, now: “Screw You, I Quit“.  I am a huge fan of the idea that people should “burn the boats” in order to take a big step.  Don’t leave yourself any choice but to succeed!
  • “Try everything once, while you have time.”  Beyond truth.

Happy Anniversary, Meg!  We are still landing standing.  I love you and can’t wait until we start our adventure around the world together!  One year ago today we were married in Miami. One year from now we will be travelling around the world. What a difference a year makes!

Hey thanks for including my post. I’ve made a quick detour into Argentina but will be heading back to Chile in May.

I loved finding out that you were doing some extensive travel in Chile! We decided last month that it will be our first destination and love to read about your adventures there.
